THREADS // T-SHIRT DRESS PART 3

via rootsandfeathers.com

Part 3 of the T-shirt dress series with TobiThis one might not technically be a 'dress' but more of an oversized tshirt, but the long wispy sides of it make it feel like a dress.  I love love love this shirt.  It's so freaking cozy and cool.  I'm excited to wear it with my skinny jeans once I can squeeze back into them!

For this look I layered it with some lacey bells from Nine Lives Bazaar, a twinning grey hat from Moorea Seal, and some statement accessories, like the agate necklace from Sun & Glory, cactus cuff from Little Hobo Bird & leather cuff from Flourish Leather.  This necklace from Sun & Glory was recently featured in the Free People catalog!  I'm so proud of my friend Annie and how far she has come.  Check out all her work featured on FP here!  And you might want to follow Flourish Leather on IG b/c tomorrow they are having some rad giveaways!

So my absence in this space grew bigger than I thought it would this month.  But I can happily announce that I finished the magazine!  It's being uploaded for print and should be released in the next two weeks for sale!  I'm so excited to be done and get it out in the world.  It's been an intense 4 months of working on it, this one took me longer than the last two.  After this one I'm going to take a little break from the mag for a while and focus on other things for a bit.  I won't be saying goodbye, just giving it a rest for a bit.  This one tapped me out and I think it's time to recenter myself and pick up in places that have suffered these last few months b/c of it... for example this blog, and the boho blog, my home and daily chores, skyline fever, and a few other things.

I was going to have the mag printed through a different company this time, and be the one to physically ship them out myself, but last minute yesterday I had a little freak out and realized I just don't want to go there yet.  I'm not ready.  I want to make that transition in the future b/c I will be able to offer the magazine for a little less than I can now, but there will be alot that goes into that change, and at this moment in my life I realized I needed to say no, keep it simple, and let someone else handle the check outs, and the shipping and customer service.  My email inbox was so full that I wasn't able to receive or send emails this weekend.  It's time for a change.  And if you have followed me on instagram at all, this isn't the only aspect of my life I am putting change into.  It's happening from all angles.  Once I get some more free time I'll be able to get more into it all here on the blog.  I have lots to share!

On to this cute outfit.  I look like I'm 14 here, I know.  Ha ha.  But these bell bottoms are so freakin rad!  I sent my favorite little cutoffs over to Shauna of Poor Pitiful Pearl and she turned them into these!!!!  My 15 year old heart would of died if I had these in my wardrobe then!  I adore them.  She can do the same for you with any of your cutoffs!!!  I love how she recycles so many fabrics, nothing goes to waste.  Most of the jeans she revamps get turned into bloomers, so instead of throwing out the bottom part after cutting them off, she uses them for scraps for these!  Perfect!

And James and I decided to put our Love Wild design on another tank.  I love my red tee.  When we first got them in I wasn't sure I was going to b/c red is one of my least favorite colors, and believe it or not, that tee is probably one of the most worn tees in my whole closet.  I adore it.  So, why not make it in a tank too?  It's now available in the shop!  And we made a sale section too and added a few items we are going to discontinue making after they sell out!  More coming soon!

I was going through some photos on my hard drive and realized I have quite a few outfit posts from past months that never even made it to the blog.  I knew I had a few from more recently, but I actually have a few from a while ago... like this one from sometime in September!  This is the exact reason why I needed to take a break, ha ha.  Too many little details were getting lost in the files.  I'm on a mission to drag them all out so I can be completely caught up and ready for a new fresh season with a clean slate.  (So you may see quite a few outfit posts here for a while, along with a few posts from warmer weather days...)

I loved this simple outfit.  I wore this to a friend's birthday party.  I think I have about 5 different Skyline Fever Dylan tees!!!  A normal one, an oversized one for lounging around the house in, one that I cut as a crop top, one that I cut as a muscle tank and this one that is slashed up.  It really is the best tee in my opinion, but you know, I may be a little biased ;)  My favorite thing to pair it with is these Pylo bell bottoms.  Oh, and see that cute little pouch in these photos?  Well, its gone.  In just 2 weeks of not eating grains, dairy & sugar, my little pouch Ive been carrying around for years is gone!  I never thought it was bad, actually kind of cute at times, but its been amazing to see how my body is transforming rapidly before my eyes with just eliminating a few things from my diet.  I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it every single day.  I haven't caved one (yet).  I know the holidays are going to be tough, especially when I'm not eating out of my own fridge.  I have re-organized our food cabinet to make it easy on myself.  Maybe Ill share a post all about it soon.

Anyway, back to this outfit!  It's hard to believe I only have one outfit post so far with the adorable fringe purse from Rossio Roos b/c I have literally used it SO much in the past few months.  Its the perfect size to fit my essentials for going out when I don't want to carry a big bag or one that I have to hold.  I have always been a huge fan of over the shoulder bags.  You can get this bag in 3 different colors (without the beaded patch).  I'm in love with the black & dark brown ones.

In other news... I know I said there would be a new giveaway everyday this week... well I fell a bit behind, so the last 3 will resume tomorrow on Monday!  There are 3 currently live right now on the giveaway page, so make sure to go enter before the end.  Each one lasts one week!

Also, I am LOVING the new blog changes I made yesterday.  Everything is so much easier to find!  Things like this make me one happy girl.  I'm kind of blog design nerd if you haven't noticed.

I think I wear a variation of this outfit pretty often.  You just can't go wrong with a pair of fun bell bottoms, a great tee & your favorite vintage jacket.  This is my first outfit post with my new hair!  Although I have a few already shot from weeks ago that I haven't shared, so you may see my hair flip flop around for a while.  It's starting to really grow on me.  When I look at photos of my ombre I really miss it, but I'm embracing a new look for this season at least, allowing myself to feel comfortable with a new look.  Bottom is beginning to fade and blend into the top a bit more, so its looking better that when I first dyed it.

Last friday I went to go see Fred Eaglesmith with my bestie.  It's been a little tradition of ours.  Weve been seeing him play live for about 13 years now.  This was our 6th time to see him together.  I have to admit, I was a little disappointed for the first time with the show.  They played pretty much the same songs as last time, and told the exact same jokes, which aren't as funny the 3rd or 4th time hearing them.  Just about every show we go to they call someone out, for talking too much, or something.  This time they called out my bestie b/c her phone rang.  It was pretty uncool.  They may think its annoying to hear a phone ring, but when a mother waits months to see your show and can't turn her ringer off b/c she has 3 little ones at home who may need her... Surely it's all in good humor and fun, but after time and time again it just becomes rude, especially to fans who love you and pay to come see you play.  I may just stick to the albums for a while and forget the live shows, sadly.  I really cannot wait for Steve Earle to come back around... that is a show you leave with nothing but a big full heart.

Anyway...I am pretty damn excited it's jacket weather!

P.S. Don't forget to check out the GIVEAWAY page this week!  A new one just went up this morning :)
