When I saw this Old Spanish Trail top from Idylwild I fell in love.  Being from Bandera, one of the oldest restaurants around is the OST, and even though I never eat there, its a beautiful piece of history we have in our little town.  I have memories of going there alot from my childhood, always wanting to play the jukebox.  Besides that, it's just a bad ass little tank, as are all of their shirts!

Since doing my latest lookbook for the Bohemian Collective, Laurel Canyon, I'm completely in love with shades of white on white, or really cream colors... It's not really a color I gravitate towards alot, but now I think I will more often.  I'm loving layering in this color palette.

I'm really working on getting my closet down to only what I really love and feel joy from.  Two days ago I filled up 3 huge trash bags full of clothes to let go of and it felt so good.  I feel so much light.  I do this every couple of months, and every time I do I feel a bit lighter.  I want to do the rest of my house again now too.

Yesterday James and I met up with some friends for yoga class and it was just what I needed.  Ive been trying to make myself do some at home each day, but I have a hard time making myself focus long enough to stay in poses for very long.  My brain is so active and I get easily distracted.  A class setting is so good for me b/c I love to follow along and just surrender into whatever I'm prompted to do.  I always walk away with the biggest smile, the best feeling, and so much energy after class.  I feel like I'm going in so many different directions right now between creating the next magazine, working on my new studio space, helping James with Skyline Fever, so many collaborations I have to work on, and just keeping up with our home and life.  Trying to always find that balance of doing and being.  Busy and Quiet.  This was a good step towards that balance once again.

I'm stoked to announce that I am the very first featured curator on Moorea Seal!!!  The feature will be out first thing tomorrow morning, and there will be an entire curated collection of my favorites over on her website!  There are lots of fun extras, including a bohemian inspired pinterest board + more.  Sign up for Moorea's newsletter to get the email in the morning.  Or check out her site tomorrow and you should be able to see it there, (I can't wait to see myself!)...

Moorea and I have been online friends for several years now.  It has been a true joy to watch her grow creatively and become the woman she is today.  She is strong, brave, beautiful, creative, motivated, stays to true to herself, speaks out when her heart is called to, stands up for people, has the biggest heart for those who are in need, has an amazing eye for design, and is incredibly kind.  I'm lucky to call her my friend, even if from afar.  She is a Cancer baby like me, with our birthdays just a few days apart, and in many ways is just a kindred.  So to be featured as her first blogger curator, I'm honored.

OUTFIT DETAILS:  dress - oasap // shoes - wearfloggs // hat - gypsy warrior // bag - of a muse // necklace - spiral drift // ring - chromafusion // bracelets - sailors omen // earring - roots & feathers

Well this might be one of my favorite outfits ever!!!  What is funny is the first time I put on this dress and styled it differently I was kinda bummed and didn't think I liked it, but then!!!  I changed my styling up and BAM. Cutest little dress around.  This is why accessories are so fun and can completely change the look of an outfit.  Oasap currently has tons of these tribal inspired dresses right now too.

I picked up the adorable southwestern bag from a local shop in the town next to me called Of A Muse.  These guys became instant friends the first time we ever met.  I can't get enough of their spirit!  Truly beautiful people.  They don't have any of these listed in their online shop, but you can email them or message them on instagram and they will let you know what they have in stock in the shop and mail it to you!  There were several others in different colors that were so beautiful!  I love the size of this bag so much.  Really I love everything about it. And by the way, they sell my Bohemian Collective magazine and James Skyline Fever shirts in their shop!  So go support these amazing peeps!

I'm kinda sad that my henna has already faded off, so no more beautiful henna shoots!  At least I got a few in before the fade.  I had so much fun with my friend Katelyn doing henna for me.  While drinking Mai Tai's of course. :)

Yesterday I began the seed planting phase of the next magazine!!!  And so it begins again...

I recently shared two lookbooks over on the Bohemian Collective, one with this Raga top, and one with the same print in a dress.  Ive been wearing this top alot lately, so I thought I would share a more everyday version of those lookbooks.  This is easily one of my top 5 articles of clothing in my whole closet.  It is so flattering in its cut, the fabric is so light and airy but not see through, the print is gorgeous... It's just a great little top.  The dress is too for a fancier day out.  I love it worn with simple jeans + simple sandalsRaga has stolen my heart!

About the beautiful jewels in this outfit... The first ring shown with the beautiful feather side detail is from La Bella Joya.  I sent her the stone and she created the ring for me using it.  It turned out to be a beautiful collaboration and now I'm hooked on her jewels.  The quality is amazing and I love the little details she uses like the feathers on the side.  The second ring is of equal quality and details, with feathers on the side also but in a different form and variation.  That ring is from Stone Sparrow.  Marina is a sweetheart and such an amazing artist.  This ring came in a box that she handdrew a hummingbird and flowers on!  Talk about attention to detail.  And last but definitely not least, this amazing squash blossom necklace from Aurora Shadow.  Veronica custom made this baby for me to use in my last Bohemian Collective Magazine in the main editorial spread.  It came out just as I envisioned and is now my favorite piece of jewelry I own.  I wear this baby so much.  You can see it worn as a hatband in the latest lookbook here.  I feel incredibly blessed to even own this beauty.  You won't find this in her shop, but I'm pretty sure she will make them on request if you message her.  It's like the most amazing secret gem around!!!

Out of all the hats I own, I have two favorites that I wear constantly.  One being a FP leather rancher hat, and this one, a handmade beauty from Whisler Civilian.  Love love love these guys and their craftsmanship.  Stellar work and style.

It's a joy to know where all the items I wear come from, and to know the hearts behind the creations.  The best part of sacred adornment in the everyday.  Of course not every article of clothing or piece of jewelry I own or wear has a story or an artist behind it, but the majority of them do, and it feels so good to adorn myself with these items.
