Threads - Earthy Butterfly >>>

Just popping in with a super comfy spring outfit post.  I got this darling little vintage crochet top in the mail c/o Suds In The Bucket the other day.  I kind of cant get enough of the color brown.  It really is one of my very favorite colors.  I paired with a Skyline Fever butterfly tank.  This one was a mess that I kept... I get all the 'oops' shirts!  I patched up these shorts a few years ago and still just love them.  I used some sentimental deer fabric that was my moms.  I love that every piece of this outfit was handmade or vintage.  And Ive been enjoying this amazing weather lately!  Soaking it up before it gets blistering hot outside.

Threads - Tee Pee & Flowers >>>

Yesterday we spent easter day with James parents. It was such a good day. We went to Fredricksburg to see the wildflower farm. The flowers were so so pretty. Then we went to Luckenbach and had a beer while we watched some singer songwriters strum their guitars.  The weather was perfect all day, not too hot.  I took lots of photos, so Im seperating the outfit from the day.  Ill post fun pics of the wildflower farm next.

I recently got this floral dress from my friends garage sale.  Along with my alltime favorite Skyline Fever shirt.  I love how easy this top is to layer with so many different looks.  Comfiest shirt in my closet.  I snuck Bella in some pics below.  She was hanging out by me when I was taking pics, so I scooped her up for some shots.  It might not of made her day, but it sure made mine!  By the way, this is the best way to wear your hair when you havent washed it in three days...  Just fyi.

Threads - Lavender Flowerchild >>>

Here is the second outfit shoot done by my hubby! Im realizing I smile alot more, but mostly b/c Im nervous I think. Im teaching him how to take certain shots, like close ups. Before you know it, hell be a pro! Im also noticing that as spring has blossomed, so has the color in my wardrobe! All of a sudden Ive felt like breaking out my more colorful pieces. This adorable lavender tee is the newest set for Skyline Fever. I still need to finish photographing them for the shop! I loved the color combo so much I had to snag one. I think I now have snagged 5 flowerchild shirts, eeek!  The skirt is actually a dress, you know one of those simple ruched tube top dresses.  I couldnt believe how perfect this belt from Gypsy Warrior went with these two pieces.  It picked up just the right colors.  Also, can I say I am over the moon with my new Blowfish sandals.  These ones are called the Gypsies.  They also just stocked some of the most fabulous shoes I have seen to date in their shop!  Gooooo look!  It makes my heart race just looking at them.  I really can be a nerd over clothes.  Sometimes I wish I didnt love them so much, but goodness I do.  I love how an article of clothing can make you feel just so you.  For as long as I can remember, Ive been a bit obsessed with clothes. Its a weakness of mine.

These lovely earrings above are from La Belle Vie.  I love the simple hand forged look of them.  My rings are from my shop, Maie Dae and a sweet gifted one from a friend.  Oh, and I tied some vintage trim into my braid.

Im very excited for tomorrow.  I get to see my bestie and her twin sister (who was my bestie in junior high) who now lives in california.  So looking forward to it.

PEACE,
Laura

Threads - Orange + Tan >>>

Hello Sunday.  Just popping in to share a little outfit collage from a few days ago.  Another day I just wanted comfort but still wanted to have some style.  I think leggings and one of my hubby's tshirt dresses from Skyline Fever are the perfect base for this.  I could pretty much layer on top of that with anything.  This lovely necklace is a newbie Roots and Feathers necklace that will hopefully be making its way into the shop soon.  I have lots of creations just sitting here waiting for the time to be uploaded.

Lately Ive been feeling like Im pulled in 100 directions at once.  I have big wholesale orders Im working on, along with lots of little ones that are flooding in for springtime.  I NEED to do my taxes, like now.  My head is dreaming of a new lookbook, and a whole new look for the blog.  Im reorganizing my thoughts about my blog in general.  Im working on a fun new blog outreach program.  Im starting my garden.  Im daydreaming about yoga and hooping.  I have letters and gifts that I really want to work on for some special people.

I think its time I sit down and prioritize this list and focus focus focus until its done.  Focus can be such a hard thing when your head is spinning with ideas.  Springtime naturally releases a creative juice inside of me, and its so hard to tame when I have more important things to attend to.  My sweet boy woke up this morning and brought his alarm clock in my studio so I could hook up my ipod to it to listen to while I work.  I love how he is always thinking of me in these kinds of ways.  So sweet.  So.... its time to put my head down and my butt up, as my Nanna would say, and get to work!

PEACE,
Laura
